Synopsis

“Kosovo: A Moment In Civilization” is 2017 documentary film produced and directed by Canadian filmmaker Boris Malagurski about Serbia’s UNESCO heritage in its disputed province of Kosovo. Many have seen the destruction of civilizational heritage in Syria and Iraq by ISIS, but do people know that these things are also happening in the heart of Europe?
Since 1999, over 150 Christian churches and monasteries were destroyed by Albanian extremists in Kosovo. Footage exists of a man risking his life to climb to the top of a church only to take down and destroy its cross, as the church is burning. The reason why many haven’t seen those images is because mainstream media doesn’t want people to see them, as it goes against their narrative regarding the Balkan conflicts.
This film attempts to raise awareness about these UNESCO sites in Kosovo and show the world why we all must unite to protect our collective civilizational heritage.
